More About Dean Good
Dean Good is a lifelong Butler County resident, Butler Electric Cooperative member and currently lives in rural Towanda. He is a graduate of Berean Academy and earned an associate degree from Butler Community College. Dean grew up helping his grandfather on the family farm, which shaped his appreciation for agriculture, hard work, and rural living.
After high school, Dean gained experience in a variety of fields, including trucking, commercial fishing in Alaska, harvest crews, and operating heavy equipment. He also worked in construction, including on a wastewater treatment plant project in the Kansas City area, and spent time working on a feedlot and ranch in Nebraska. In 2003, Dean and his wife returned closer to home, eventually settling permanently in the Towanda area in 2009.
Dean and his wife currently operate a farming and cow-calf operation, where Dean now farms full time. In 2014, they adopted two brothers, an experience that has been a significant blessing to their family. Dean believes his life experiences have taught him how to build something from the ground up and manage finances responsibly.
